HappyTime (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the HappyTime mobile application (the “App”). Our core philosophy is “Local First”—we minimize the collection of personal data to the greatest extent possible.

2. Information Collection and Use

2.1 Locally Stored Information (Non-Sensitive)

To provide core functionality, the App stores the following data locally on your iOS device (using UserDefaults and the file system):

  • Configuration Data: Game timer settings and duration limits.
  • Usage History: Game logs and statistical data.
  • Cached Content: Mod download history and pre-loaded cache files.

Note: This data remains strictly on your device. Unless you perform a system backup (e.g., via iCloud), we cannot access this information, and it is never synchronized to our private servers.

2.2 Automatically Collected Technical Data

We integrate Google Firebase services to optimize app performance. These services may collect the following de-identified and anonymous technical information:

  • Firebase Analytics: Anonymous behavioral data (e.g., feature click rates, active session duration).
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Crash logs, device model, and OS version to help us identify and fix bugs.
  • Identifiers: Anonymous device identifiers used solely for retention statistics, which are not linked to your real-world identity.

3. Third-Party Services

We utilize Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Firestore, and Storage) for backend support.

  • Data Security: Data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit via HTTPS.

4. Children’s Privacy

The App may be used by parents to manage their children’s playtime. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the legal age in your jurisdiction). If a parent becomes aware that a child has provided us with data without consent, please contact us at happytime@lumideer.xyz and we will delete such information immediately.

5. Your Rights and Choices

We respect your control over your data:

  • Access & Deletion: You may clear all local data at any time by uninstalling the App.
  • Opt-out of Analytics: You can disable data collection via the “Privacy Settings” within the App (Note: If you haven’t added this toggle yet, you should mention that uninstalling the app is the primary method).
  • Tracking Preferences: This App adheres to the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You can manage or revoke permissions at any time via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

6. Data Retention

  • Local Data: Retained until the App is uninstalled or data is cleared by the user.
  • Analytical Data: Retained in accordance with Google Firebase standard policies (typically 14-26 months) in an aggregated, anonymous format.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via in-app notifications or version update logs. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
